#1123 Dale Evans' Buttermilk with Video

Hollywood Heroes Series

Take a nostalgic ride down "Happy Trails" on Dale Evans' creamy buckskin horse, Buttermilk.  Buttermilk and Trigger were as much a pair as Dale and her husband Roy Rogers, America's favorite cowboy.  Originally owned and trained by Hollywood legend Glenn Randall, Buttermilk was offered to Dale because her first movie horse looked too much like Trigger.  Dale fell in love with the gelding and bought him. She rode Buttermilk in all but six of The Roy Rogers Show television episodes that aired Sundays from 1951-57. The enclosed video features Dale and Buttermilk in two classic episodes of the original show: Outlaw Town and Bad Neighbors.
